What about Charles Barkley's 43 points, 15 boards & 10 dimes against the Seattle Supersonics in Game 5 of the 1993 Western Conference Finals. A regulation game in which Barkley played 47 out of a possible 48 minutes, the Suns needed everything the leagues' MVP could give them, as Phoenix won 120-114 at the America West Arena to take a 3-2 lead in the series. Barkley made good on all 11 of his free throw attempts & shot a blistering 16-22 from the field. Charles Barkley then followed that game up with 44 points & 24 boards in the all-decisive Game 7, as the Suns advanced to the NBA Finals. In that game, Barkley set a conference finals record by attempting 22 free throws, on which he made good on 19, & shot an efficient 12-20 from the field.

This list brings back a lot of memories. I can remember where I was for 2 of these games. In my apartment on the phone with my best friend during LeBron's game 5. And in the outer banks of North Carolina watching Jordan in Game 5 overcome the flu.

Nice list. One of the things people often forget about these games is what the opposing teams did. Just like when Jordan hit "the shot" over Ehlo against the Cavs in game 5, the Cavs had run an impressive play just before freeing up Ehlo for a driving layup in traffic.

I think it's great to watch these games on ESPN classic or download them because you can really see how impressive they were.

King_kaun

Both of those battles were epic.

I'd rank Bird-Wilkins ahead of Pierce-James.

Where do you think the LeBron vs. The Truth duel ranks on this list? (if it were more than just top 5)

or what about the Bird vs. Wilkins battle royale??

LeBron at #1? Seriously? No way was LeBron's 48 more impressive than Jordan's 63. Jordan was essentially getting any shot he wanted against arguably the best team of all time. LeBron's performance was epic, Jordan's was even better.

cannot argue with any of these...

...though I don't see the game where Steve Kerr dropped 75 points and 32 assists. Where is that one at????
