On May 22, 1988, Dominique Wilkins and Larry Bird engaged in what is probably the greatest duel in NBA history. Wilkins scored 47 points on 19-of-23 from the field. Bird finished with 34 points on 15-of-24 from the field. Wilkins scored 16 points in the 4th quarter, but Bird topped Wilkins with 20 in the final period to lead the Celtics to a 118-116 Game 7 victory.

Hey, Hoffman. I’ve watched that match-up several times on Classic. I think those that think of Dominique only as the human highlight reel are really missing what a great all-around player he was.
Didn’t realize you had a site of your own. Looks sharp, I’ll have to link it up.

Hey Shooter!
Thanks for stopping by my site. I’ve had it up for about a month and a half now. It’s been a really great experience thus far. Glad you enjoyed the Dominique-Bird classic. I started highlighting a record setting individual performance or classic game a little while ago. It’s a daily series now. It’s received a lot of positive feedback.
Good to see a friendly face. Demonicume and I were talking about this last night, but there are times when I miss all of the interaction that took place at Fox.
Hope all is well.

Definitely miss the interaction, too. But I’ve been able to keep in touch with several former Fox bloggers that went their separate ways…so that’s good. Glad to see you’re still writing up a storm. Now I know where you are I’ll have to check in more often.
Take care and see you around.
