Ballin’: Allen Iverson’s Rookie Scoring Streak

In 1997, Allen Iverson broke Wilt Chamberlain’s 37-year old record by scoring 40 or more points in five consecutive games as a rookie.  It was a prelude of things to come as Iverson has gone on to become one of the league’s most prolific scorers.

The Sixers lost all five games.  Iverson’s streak ended when he scored 27 points against the New Jersey Nets in a 113-105 win.
