On Apr 27, 1984, Bernard King’s New York Knicks and Isiah Thomas’ Detroit Pistons met in the 5th and final game of their first round playoff series. The Knicks controlled the game through the first three quarters until Thomas erupted for 16 poins in the final period to send the game to overtime. Thomas finished the game with 35 points and 12 assists. King scored 44 points in a 127-123 OT Knicks victory.
