Unbeknownst to many, this was also the first championship for NBA Legend Bill Cartwright.
The former All-Rookie 1st-teamer and former NBA All-Star won two more NBA Championships (in the two years following this initial victory)as the starting center for the dominant Chicago Bulls.
The all-time leading scorer for the University of San Fransisco Dons (and also the only player from USF to record 200 points and 1000 rebounds) is currently an assistsant coach for the Phoenix Suns.

Mr. Showtime,
Bill Cartwright. Good player, terrible coach. Allegedly threatened to break both of MJ’s legs once.
Hope all is well.

Mr. Showtime…
YOU wouldn’t happen to be Bill Cartwright, would you?? :)
just kidding. I remember Carwright being the best center the Bulls ever paired with M.J.
