Jordan is like Pac and Kobe is Lil Wayne. People will compare and contrast but the differences are obvious to those who study the game.

Mike with Washington was not a failure. He scored 40 a few times and hit a few game winners and was beating 20 year olds down the floor on defense.

Ask Phil Jackson, ask anyone who has played with or against Mike and Kobe...they won't to win, period!

Kobe worked on his game while Shaq was coming to training camp 30 pounds overweight. Kobe wasn't going to appologize for being an improved player. His alpha mentality drove Shaq out of L.A. Shaq played around too much and didn't maximize his natural physical gifts. Shaq became complacent and Kobe had more desire than ever.

When Mike came in the league, he was labelled a ball hog and a hot dog. After he won a couple of championships, he actually had the reputation for being extremely hard on his teammates. He didn't respect players who gave a half hearted effort and I suspect he would have ran Shaq out of town as well.

Kobe and Mike are forces of nature! I don't see how someone can be a fan of one and not of the other. The talent of others is eclipsed by the desire to win of these to juggernuats!

Dr. Anklesnap,

Jordan is the barometer by which every player is measured. And rightfully so.

He had weaknesses though. There will be a better player than Michael. I just don't see how anyone can have a career as picture perfect as his was. Aside from his stint with Washington, MJ's career was like a fairy tale.

I remember watching this game at the time. It was fun.

I love the announcers quotes "so much for the bad finger..." and "Jordan went around Horry like he was invisible"

haha....classic. Jordan is God....
