On December 9th, 2004, Tracy McGrady scored 13 points over the final 35 seconds to lead the Rockets to a 81-80 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. The Rockets trailed 74-64 with 52 seconds remaining when McGrady hit four consecutive three-pointers, including the game-winner with 1.7 seconds remaining.

Regular players don’t do that. Hell, half of the “stars” in the league can’t and won’t ever do that.
What McGrady did shows how special of a player he is. It’s too bad his back has failed him, the same way it crippled should-have-been-great Larry Johnson.

True story. I had been busy the night this game was live, but remembered it was on very late. I decided to turn on the TV to see if it was over yet and BAM, it is right before this amazing sequence occurs. Sure enough, I check out the score and begin to search for a channel to change it to when McGrady hit that first shot…
…and then I watched in amazement…I tuned in JUST in time to watch McGrady go nuts.
