Connie Hawkins has facinated me since I read "Foul,The Connie Hawkins story" as a teenager in the early 1970's- the little footage that i have seen of him shows a wonderful player,a big man that could do what no other big man before him had done- he was unjustly kept from becoming a household name when he was banned from the NBA-we may never know how good he really was,but in my mind he will alwasy be the "hawk"-one of the top basketball players of all time

Class, style, skills, for me one of the best ever, but too much problems across the life, years lost without playin' in NBA, forced to play at Rucker park in summers and with the Globbetrotters to can continuing playin' basketball, and finally, when at last plays in NBA, injuries condition his last years.
With more fortune in his life, the Hawk has been one of the best of all-time. No doubt.
