On December 17th, 2006, Gilbert Arenas scored a career-high and franchise-best 60 points against the Los Angeles Lakers. Arenas shot 17-of-32 from the field, 5-of-12 from the three-point line, 21-of-27 from the free throw line, grabbed 8 rebounds, and dished 8 assists in a 147-141 overtime victory over the Lakers. Matched up against Kobe Bryant for much of the game, Arenas scored 16 points in overtime — setting an NBA record for most points scored in an overtime period.
