When Michael Jordan retired shortly before the 1993-94 NBA season, Scottie Pippen became the de facto leader of the Chicago Bulls. Pippen responded by posting career bests in scoring (22.0 ppg), rebounds (8.7 rpg), and steals (2.93 per game). The Chicago Bulls raced out to a 34-13 record and Pippen was voted as a starter in the 93-94 All-Star game. Pippen was the “star of stars” that day as he scored 29 points on 9-of-15 from the field, 5-of-9 from the three-point line, grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds, and recorded a game-high 4 steals. Pippen won the game’s Most Valuable Player Award and went on to lead the Bulls to 55 regular season wins.
