On May 18th, 2008, LeBron James and Paul Pierce squared up for the seventh game of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Matched up with one another for most of the game, James scored 45 points on 14-of-29 from the field, 3-of-11 from the three-point line, and 14-of-19 from the free throw line. But Pierce’s Celtics came out with the 97-92 victory behind Pierce’s 41 points on 13-of-23 from the field, 4-of-6 from the three-point line, and 11-of-12 from the free throw line.

I really wanted to die when PJ Brown caught Rajon Rondo’s airball and put it in – and then when he hit that dagger with a minute left.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Brown or Horry sign with the C’s before the playoffs start.
But I don’t think James will allow Pierce to drop 41 on him again.
