Ballin’: CP3 Scores 42

On February 6th, 2008, Chris Paul scored 42 points in a double-overtime thriller against the Phoenix Suns. Paul shot 18-of-33 from the field, 4-of-9 from the three point line, and 2-of-3 from the free throw line. Paul’s counterpart Steve Nash scored 32 points and had 12 assists, but was forced into 10 turnovers with Paul hounding him for much of the night. Paul recorded a career-high 8 steals in the contest.

    I remember watching this game. It represented the exact moment I realised that, yes, Chris Paul is one of the best basketball players in the entire bloody world right now.

    I agree. The torch had already been passed in a lot of people’s minds, but this game helped prove that CP3 is the greatest point guard in the game.
