On February 8th, 2008, Carmelo Anthony scored a career-high 49 points against the Washington Wizards. Anthony shot 19-of-25 from the field, 3-of-3 from the three-point line, and 8-of-8 from the free throw line. Melo scored 29 points in the first half, 11 points in the third quarter, and 9 points in the final period when the Wizards double and triple-teamed him away from the ball to prevent Anthony from scoring 50.
