On January 8th, 1987, Michael Jordan and Clyde Drexler squared up for the first time. Drexler scored 23 points on 10-of-19 from the field and 3-of-3 from the free throw line. Jordan responded with 53 points on 20-of-34 from the field and 13-of-16 from the free throw line to lead the Bulls to a 121-117 win.
