On December 20th, 1988, Magic Johnson scored 31 points on 11-of-18 from the field, 9-of-9 from the free-throw line, and handed out 12 assists against Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. Jordan responded with 42 points on 11-of-23 from the field, 2-of-3 from the three-point line, and 18-of-22 from the free-throw line to lead the Bulls to a 116-103 win.
