My system isn't perfect.

Let's use Cleveland as an example.

Cleveland would play every team 3 times. But it would be difficult to determine which teams Cleveland should have homecourt advantage against.

Some teams would have 14 series with homecourt advantage and some teams would have 15 series with homecourt advantage. Homecourt advantage would alternate every season.

I don't know - but when people post standings this early in the season, it's an inexact science. Some teams have played a bit more games at home than on the road and vice versa, others have battled injuries. I think with this year, with your format, the top 16 teams are:

1. Boston
2. Orlando
3. Cleveland
4. LA
5. Denver
6. New Orleans
7. Portland
8. Houston
9. San Antonio
10.Utah
11.Atlanta
12.Philadelphia
13.Miami
14.Detroit
15.Phoenix
16.Dallas

Hoff, what would the standings be right now if we had your system where every team plays each other 3 timss?

I'm interested - because it wouldn't be the same.
