He's a terrific defender. But I don't think Eric Snow deserved the nod over Gary Payton or Kobe Bryant. Payton made the All-Defensive 1st team twice. Kobe has been a perennial All-NBA defender over the past decade. You could argue that Bryant's reputation has been inflated in recent years, and there's some truth there. Battier deserved the 1st team nod over Bryant last season. But Bryant was one of the league's top perimeter defenders from about 2000-04 (during the handcheck era).
