"Around .500 but 11th? You must see quite a race for the 8th seed."

Well, take a look at those middling teams in the East. Washington and Toronto could both range anywhere from very good to terrible with the moves they made. Charlotte brings back almost the exact same team, and seemed to get better as last year went on. Indiana had the point differential of a 38 win team, and should be better with Dunleavy back. There are a lot of teams that project to finish somewhere around .500.

They don't have one right now - we'll see if Kuester can instill one in them.

Erick, did you read my latest comment on the Kobe/LeBron?

The luster is definitely off of Dumars' immaculate reputation. I too see them stuck in mediocrity for a long time. Not only are they mediocre, but they're not balanced.

A point guard who's talented but isn't great at running an offense. A shooting guard who needs a distributor and a versatile offensive post player to screen for him to create offense. Another shooting guard and power forward who are explosive, a touch soft, and completely defenseless (Gordon flat out gives up on defense). Centers who have no offensive skills whatsoever.

What's Detroit's identity?
