I’m a day late pointing this out, but it’s new to me so what the heck. This clever graph by FanHouse’s Tom Ziller shows which teams take the bulk of their shots at the rim and from beyond the arc, otherwise known as the second and third most efficient shots in basketball.

What a GREAT post, Brandon.
The article mentions how the Lakers and the Cavs shoot nearly identical balances of 3s and shots at the rim, but what it doesn’t mention is that right there near the Lakers and Cavs on the graph are the Celtics, Hawks and Spurs.
I’m trying to decide if I want to take the time to do an article on the Yang to this Yin… the defensive shot analysis.
Wouldn’t it be equally interesting to discover where all these teams defensively SURRENDER shots to their opponents?
If I did the article, would basketballogy.com be put back on your link list again? [wink]

I upgraded WordPress last week due to some issues with my “visual editor” — and for whatever reason — I lost some links in my left sidebar.
I re-added InsideHoops this morning.
I’ll add you now.
My apologies.
In the meantime, check this out:

Oh! I thought it was because I haven’t been writing much, and what I have been writing wasn’t that interesting. Thanks for the explanation.
And thanks for the links.
You are an amazing source of basketball information.
